 litigation support

Human factors expert witnessI try like crazy to keep
products safe for those who
use them and to keep my
clients out of the courtroom.

However, when accidents occur,
I am here to assist with human
factors research support
and expert witness testimony.

Sample cases:

Lawn care equipment operation
Assembly/disassembly of construction equipment
Product safety label context
Proximity warning devices
Warning signals indicating machinery activation

I do not advertise my clients' names. However, upon request
I may be able to provide the names of clients I have assisted.

If your needs go beyond human factors litigation assistance,
perhaps one of these partners and technical experts can help.

Human factors expert witness construction equipment

Assembly/disassembly of construction equipment

Analyses of accident investigations involving large-scale construction equipment showed the extent to which human factors considerations of task sequencing were applied in the design of the equipment and in the procedural manuals for its assembly/disassembly.

Human factors expert witness safety labels

Product safety label context

Research was conducted to determine the degree to which operators comply with safety label instructions as a function of the environmental context in which those labels were presented.

Human factors expert witness proximity warning

Proximity warning devices

The effectiveness of high-voltage proximity warning devices to prevent contact of crane booms with overhead power lines was evaluated varying false alarm frequency under controlled conditions.

Human factors expert witness warning signals

Warning signals indicating machinery activation

To establish a benchmark for adequate warning periods, a study was carried out to determine the optimum range of delay between a warning signal and the subsequent activation of nearby machinery.
